Counselling services in Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire
There are times when you feel life is so challenging, so overwhelming that you often can’t see a way forward. You might be feeling alone, lost and helpless and may be thinking you have no one to turn to.
Admitting this to yourself takes courage, and it's a big step to acknowledge that you can’t do this any longer by yourself and are in need of some help. This is when counselling may be able to provide the support you are looking for.
My aim is to provide a safe space to explore whatever is going on in your life. I provide counselling for adults and young people with a wide range of issues including:
Affairs and betrayals
Child related issues
Issues from the past
Low self esteem
Obsessive compulsion (OCD)
Post traumatic stress
Separation and divorce
Based in Aberdeenshire, I have been active as a counsellor since 2013. I find it fulfilling being able to help people through difficult times in their life and this has motivated me to develop myself professionally as a person-centred counsellor. Initially I specialised in Bereavement and Loss counselling as a volunteer with Cruse Bereavement Scotland. Through my private practice and work with One-to-One (ACIS) and Mearns Counselling I have gained experience in providing support to adults and young people dealing with a wide spectrum of issues.
I hold a diploma in person-centred counselling from Aberdeen University and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) adhering to their code of ethics. I am also registered with the PVG scheme for working with vulnerable adults and children.
Making a start
The first step is often the hardest, it takes courage to admit that you might need some help. By taking that first step and reaching out to a counsellor, you are already on the road to self-improvement.
So if you are feeling overwhelmed and want to find a way forward then give me a call or send me a message and we can start to realise the therapeutic benefits which a counselling relationship can offer you.
